The expansive campus of St. Joseph's High School in Metuchen was the setting for Kicks for Kids 2005.

Registration for the Soccer Marathon and 5k Run/Walk commenced at 9:30 AM.

Thanks to the work of our many tireless volunteers, registration proceeded smoothly and quickly.

The Run/Walk was launched with a ceremonial lap by a parade of motorcycles.

Over 100 people participated in the Run/Walk event.

Kids from a wide range of local soccer leagues came out for our all-day soccer marathon.

Spencer Rockman, right, helped kids polish up their shooting, dribbling, and passing abilities with his Soccer Skills area.

Spencer Rockman, right, is a local soccer legend, and director of Rovers International Soccer, one of the co-sponsors of the event.

Local singer-songwriter Justina provided live entertainment for this year's Kick.

While Justina shared her tunes, a number of local firefighters gave kids the chance to explore a real fire engine.

Over 50 student volunteers from St. Joseph's provided invaluable support in making the event a success.

Jeff Parke of the New Jersey MetroStars added a touch of celebrity to the event.

MetroStars Defender Jeff Parke spent several hours talking with the kids and signing autographs.

Metro the Mascot joined the MetroStars crew at Kicks for Kids.

Metro the Mascot provided a great deal of entertainment throughout the day.

16.Lainie's Angels founder Stathi Afendoulis kicked in some advice at the Soccer Skills area.

Once again, thanks to all our volunteers, contributors, and participants - you truly made the day a success!
